One should never accept a snotty attitude from shop staff, waiters or valet chaps as they are not the ones spending money in the establishment.
I am also failing to understand why your girlfriend needed you to drive her to and from a mall for a manicure. It would be plenty dry enough to drive after 10-15 minutes.
