Re: Where do you call home?
It felt like home the moment I stepped off the plane in Abu Dhabi, 5 years ago. I can't explain it, I have just always loved it here. I am a North West London girl, but when I go back, it just feels like I am visiting. It does not feel like home anymore. Which is fine, because it's like a nice holiday when I go back

Been here 32 years, still 1,000 miles away from home. A place where I don't want to live again.

Nowhere feels like home. Too much time travelling, spend more than 50% of the year in hotels anyway.
Plus side is I know where to have a good night out in a couple of dozen cities around the world.

I spent 7 years in Leeds 19-26 and for some reason even though I am not from there I feel at home.

Well I'm currently in Germany, and this place certainly ISN'T home.
I like the UK but get bored of it quickly, I do enjoy the Middle East though/....

Wherever I lay my hat.
I settle very easily and Dubai is my home. It's no wonder so many people are unhappy living overseas if they are forever talkng about going 'home' to somewhere they don't live.

I've moved about so much that if I'm somewhere for 48 hours or more, it's home. I'm not one of those people with a specific place I can call 'home'. It has never bothered me though, and I'm always slightly bemused by people who get homesick.

Re: Where do you call home?
I'm typing this from my family home in Scotland. However as I spend 1 week a year in my home..is it really my 'home'..
Surely 'home' is Dubai as I live there with my family, however its hard to make that statement as I, like most are one phonecall, email, car crash, incident away from a one way ticket out of here...and back 'home'..
If that makes any sense...

Re: Where do you call home?
Being raised first in South London and then Gloucestershire I moved around the UK from the age of 19.Never stayed anywhere for more than a year.
I then moved to Wales and stayed there 12 years. The minute I got there it felt like home and for some reason it still does.
