the agent went to my house for a free site visit to check what are the requirements (because it is a wifi based system) and that's it.. i didn't pay him money or anything... he told me that i can purchase them from sharaf, eros or jumbo... my choice..

though my wifi is *****ed up, i have to pay somebody to fix it for me.. a freelancer that charged way less.. coz freaking internet solutions company charged 3k..

was planning to buy from Sharaf at Al Barsha mall but they were unable to answer their phone (tried numerous times)

so I bought from Eros in MOE and sent a nice message to Sharaf customers services asking them to congratulate their Al Barsha staff on a loss of a sale.

will be adding an extra play 1 or 3 in a couple of months.

i am a techy guy, but even my mum figured out how to get wifi up and running on her own. if you're paying 3k to set up wifi i'll happily help you out..

Would suggest Sharaf DG+ in Times Square or Denon Showroom in Dubai Mall.
This two showrooms are purely audio specialist and they sell Sonos and other products..

Do Denon sell non-Denon products in their stores now? I thought they'd be keener on selling there own versions of the Sonos...

Also, can you stream directly from an laptop or ipad to Sonos speakers, for example can you stream youtube through them? I thought not which is why I wrote them off and have been looking at alternatives.

YES they do now....

They have this one product called, CONNECT. which you can connect home theaters, laptop, PCs, MAC or whatever source, then it will pass on the audio to other sonos speakers...

you can stream spotify, Tunein radio and quite a few apps from laptop/phone etc but not youtube.

It has the line-in capability. so anything that you play from laptop or any other source can be played through Sonos.
