A reminder that, in the early-1970s, before the sharks of his record company turned him and lyricist Bernie Taupin into self-parody, Elton John used to produce stunningly beautiful songs.
This one's a live BBC performance. 'I Need You To Turn To' is taken from the 'Elton John' album, from which 'Your Song' is the most famous track, but I prefer this one for its simple yet vivid imagery. His voice was in great shape back then too.

I'm quite close to Keane (school connection, they all went to the same school as my little angels, met them through Tom Chaplin's headmaster dad), and they seem completely unspoiled by success - and Chaplin's voice is cherubically good.............
