Yes, but for how long? Meanwhile, we will be getting thumped by India in the one day series.

It was an utterly fantastic performance, a truly mesmerising effort to become No. 1 – brilliant!
When this fourth and final day of the third Test began, the Warwickshire County Cricket Club sent out a media briefing that said Edgbaston was trying to set a world record for the number of spectators in fancy dress at a UK sports venue. They were attempting 2500. Cruel as it may sound, the Indian touring party could also have been included in that head count; they did after all, come to England, to Edgbaston, disguised as the world's No. 1 Test team.

Now, today, after Edgbaston, there are no angles left. Just a full stop. Or perhaps, given the sound and fury of the pre-series build up and the events of the past few days, an exclamation mark.
The exclamation represents the gap between the two teams, and tells the tale of an Indian team that was overcooked, undercooked and then at Edgbaston, Alastair Cooked.

I don't follow the cricket but it's nice to read that.

And as Brunel thunders down towards the crease, Dyson behind the wicket crouches down expectantly, the slips—Telford, Stephenson and James Watt—fidget, looking a little nervous, Branson starts his walk in from third man, Rajiv Ghandi edges forward from the bowler's end (bat still firmly planted on the ground), and—looking resilient if battered—Mahatma grips his bat firmly and focusses on the red leather orb hurtling towards him. Its short-pitched, bounces viciously, and looks to be heading straight for Ghandi's left shoulder, but he's already anticipated it, and makes what looks initially like a fine strike, hoiking it high into the air down leg side, way over Faraday's head at short fine leg. It looks to be headed for a bounce just short of the boundary at the vacant fine leg position as Ghandi and Ghandi sprint between the wickets, but Keith Duckworth is hurtling in from his position at deep backward square leg and in one might, leaping, diving lunge hurls himself at the ball and takes it cleanly in one hand just before it hits the turf. A brilliant catch, and one fully worthy of bridges and Cosworths combined.

Only glaring error is the lack of Timmy Mallett's inclusion?
