I don't give it much creadence but do smile when I still show up as overweight.
Running Jebel Hafeet on 8th July anyone fancy a trot up what i'm guessing is the Middle Easts steepest Motorway.
If I get a spare day I'll give you my story but it's very long and nearly involves me endding up in a wooden box.

I reckon the quickest and easiest way to lose weight these days is a diet of German bean sprouts and cucumbers.......

Trying to add a new goal for 2011 - the dreaded cigs
Currently smoking 40 on a good day - but have been know to hit 80 especially when out !
Went to see a clinic (the english text read "Kuwaiti Smoking Clinic" - the arabic was different !)
Got a 2 week box of Champix - 1st week smoke as normal - next Thursday is D-Day!!

wow- 80 a day- do you ever not have a cig in your mouth- that takes some doing!
I gave up 11 weeks ago now and best thing ive ever done- once you get past the first 2 weeks its a lot easier- just get your head around being a non smoker and change your routines. You can do it! I did patches for the first week but had the worst migraines- not sure if it was from them or not smoking- was hell- but once you get past that you realise you never want to have to go through that again so its an incentive not to go back on them.
And I've lost weight so you don't have to gain weight when you quit. I was only on 10-20 a day though but had been smoking for 21 years so was a longterm habit. Good luck!
I'm still on the diet- and get fit regime-(im really dull and boring these days) have now lost 16 kgs but have a fair bit to go. but since giving up smoking I can now run on the treadmill without being near death I have a holiday to thailand in feb and want to be 59kgs ( still a fair bitto go) and wear the teeniest bikini I can find- so have a good target to work to. I WILL get there!

Double congrats - 11 weeks without a cig is an achievement and 16kg
I have tried the patches before and i was still smoking with them - you sort of forget you have them on ! Thats why i wanted to try this Champ. Its first day and sort of worked - I havent had that "hit" from smoking. Your supposed to smoke during the first week and next Thursday is D-Day for me !!
I have to start changing my routine and find another reason to stand in the hallways !!
80cigs a day is easily achieveable (i normally smoke 3 cigs with a cup of coffee in 15 mins)
Will we see a pic of your in your "teeniest bikini" ?

this is the target bikini...except my boobs will have disappeared at that weight but cant have it all
