Default Seen the new traffic fines?

From July 1, 300 Dhs for doing LESS THAN 20kph over the speed limit.

This is because the new traffic regulations state the maximum speed and the +20kph barrier has been removed.

This may be Abu Dhabi only (hence so many covered signs on AD roads), but as we all know, traffic fines are a fantastic tax for the Gov.

Do you have a source? I can't find anything about it online...

I had an infographic - but deleted it.

New traffic fines in Abu Dhabi starting July 1 - Dubai Eye

That may work, anyway, it's changed, if you don't believe me, so be it.

This has been floating about since the start of the year. I've not been to AD for a few weeks - have they taken down the big Max 140 signs?

If you’ve nothing better to do/are bored/have half an hour to spare have a look through these lists. It would make for a far more interesting and entertaining version of ‘I Spy’ on long journeys - supposing anyone could remember them all!

it's 3000 now in Saudi if you jump a red light, rising to 5000 if you don't pay within 30 days.

that's pretty hefty.

has definitely made a difference to what people do at lights though where there are cameras.

No, the speed limits will all be increased by 20, but the buffer will be eliminated. So the unofficial speed limit that the camera flashes at will become the official speed limit.

Its 6k here for jumping a red light and should you stuff someone your insurance is also invalid. Pretty harsh.
