Better be nice to those "toffs" - a lot of them were probably either business execs, or cash-wielding tourists which apparently made up a large income stream in the independent Scotlands super-secret economic plan..

I hadn't realized Meaningless Platitude Day had come around again so quickly, but if it has, can we all have a go? I'll kick off with a couple of old chestnuts.... How about 'never bite the hand that feeds', or 'Kissing ass and customer service are 2 sides of the same coin'? Platitudes don't pay the bills. Fortunately, not being Scottish, I don't have any direct immediate concern about avoiding economic turmoil for an independent Scotland. Luckily for Scotland, nor does Salmond!
