Saudi military, police and other personnel have been going to the States for many years. Working in Saudi Arabian Airlines I was involved in sending large numbers of technical trainees to the US in the 1990s. Some hated it. Some thrived. Some came back as great fans of the US. Others came back full of resentment and hatred for what
their Iranian neighbours decried as "The Great Satan".
Selling high-tech military equipment goes with selling the need to provide training to those who will use it. "Culture Contact" is not just about fast-food chains and motor cars !

Strange that the Western media isn't really grabbing onto this for what it is (A terrorist attack). Possibly because of the nationality of the people involved!?

It was on sky news earlier, and let's face it, shootings in the states aren't that big news unless the body count is high.
