I've asked one of my sisters to buy for Jasmine a set of the Royal Mail commemorative stamps. That's about it as far as the Royal Wedding is concerned. As for BC rushing out into the mid-afternoon 38degC sunshine, how she doesn't get skin cancer is a mystery to me. I know so many people whose lives have been ruined by over-exposure to the sun. Before you say anything, sunscreen unfortunately does bugger-all to prevent skin cancer.

Whenever I mention the temperature in Dubai on FB, your mother starts telling me to watch out for skin cancer. I take it she realises it's the sun and not the heat than can cause it? ;);)

I haven't managed to find any bunting- had a busy week at work so sadly havent managed it! very upset as my party hosting is legendary back in blighty! But I have the food and drink in so I don't think anyone will mind too much. Just a small gathering at mine, and funnily enough Im the only english one there. Can't wait- love a bit of pomp and ceremony and a good wedding- kleenex at the ready!

Re: The Royal Wedding
I don't see the point or appeal of the royal family, don't understand the undue attention heaped on this wedding. It just doesn't seem relevant at this point in history.

Jump to 2:12, where Jerry Seinfeld hits the nail on the head.
