The plural is definitely Lexi. Love Partridge.
And as we're on the topic, this has made me smile recently. http://i59.tinypic.com/34xfadc.jpg |

Re: Ramadan
Mike, I have just finished preparing a reply to the post you'd just removed. Part of my reply was a bit of a bash at that guy and the other part was the actual response to his allegations. So here is the reply I wrote, minus the bash:
In countries where day time extends beyond 18 hours, the faithful are allowed to follow Mecca timing with regards to fasting schedules. This opinion is backed up by a growing scientific indications that Mecca is indeed the center of the earth. Just before you start rubbishing this argument, I suggest you take a look at this BBC link. The BBC reported this theory claiming it to be from Muslim scientists, but without indicating weather there is any counter argument, which goes to show that there actually is no counter argument!! BBC NEWS | Middle East | Muslim call to adopt Mecca time Also see this interesting video (ignore the propaganda part): https://faithforum.wordpress.com/201...matical-proof/ |

The argument is easy to rubbish (yet again you fail to understand what "scientific" means), but the whole premise--that the earth has a centre on its surface--is just nonsense to start with. I thought you'd taken my previous advice, about a year ago, to go away, learn and grow up before you start trying to interact with adults again. Clearly not. And as to your logic that because the BBC didn't indicate whether or not there is a counter-argument therefore there isn't one...who ties your shoelaces for you in the morning? |

Re: Ramadan
Not sure if its my imagination (could be, it's fairly fertile) but about half of our local female staff have taken to wearing a head scarf for the happy month, but the spray-on jeans and super-tight tops seem, across the board, to have got sprayier and tighter. Maybe god's testing me.

I think that's how it's meant to work. Hope you're having a good month :D
After the first 7 days everything and every day tend to start looking the same. You know I honestly do not know what day is it today and how many more to go! There are moments of clarity but most of it is all a haze. Had to drive on the SZR last night and I caught myself zoning out, you know! Despite my personal belief that fasting is good for the soul (also for the fat gut), these long 14 hour fasts cant definitely be good for the body. But meh! |

Shouldn't you be putting your time to good use during the Holy month instead of trolling message boards? |

Shame on you for your rudeness to another Muslim during this month. That negates your day of fasting doesn't it? |

Re: Ramadan
It is not me who suggest that he’s a loser, it’s what the Islamic faith formulas do, and that’s not just because he is disobeying the divine instructions, it’s more to do with him not showing any remorse about his sins. Just because there is no immediate retaliation from the creator to your wrong doings, certainly does not mean that you have managed to get away with it. It simply means that according to the system of Mercy that the creator has created, you are been given extra time to rethink and get back on the right path. And if you chose not to, then just wait and see how your story will unfold, your whole story that is, not just the minute part in this world

You assume (negatively) too much about everyone and your problem is, in your mind, that assumption somehow magically transforms into fact. Do not assume anything of anyone because then you start judging people and there's only one of those. What I do or do not do in my life is my problem and my grave. I think you should worry that your kids do not grow up to be as negative as you, although I doubt that. 49:12 O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin. And do not spy or backbite (or try to find faults) in each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead? You would detest it. And fear God ; indeed, God is accepting of repentance and is merciful. |

More than a little presumptive of you to speak on behalf of your god. I am fairly sure that's frowned upon. |

Anyway, Ramadan.
I heard today that we get one or two days off before Eid starts; anyone got any further information on this? I'm really hoping they're not just getting my hopes up as it's my first year here... |
