yep easily- was a regular thing on the tube when I was commuting- once grabbed the guys hand which was on my bottom and asked very loudly who was the owner of this hand as it appeared to be on my arse- the guy in a suit looked mortified and got off at the next stop. Once woke up on the bus after falling asleep on my way home from work with the guy sitting next to me with his hand on my boob- that was one of my more frightening experiences. Have been wanked at numerous times in Paris (actually pretty much every time ive been there) and London, been groped at work- at burgerking by my manager- another not so good story- pretty much you name it ive seen it. Not sure why I attract these people? Its not liek I walk around in mini skirts with my baps out.

And is being groped in a bar less offensive than being groped by donald duck? ( but no I wasnt counting those)

I could give you about 50 instances of being groped, exposed etc that I have personally experienced without having to think about it- has it left me traumatized? No it hasnt.

I have had a couple of experiences where I have felt threatened and have dealt with those at the time.

And these things only ruin your day if you let them. To be fair I wouldnt slap the guy- Even? its not about being even its about getting stressed out by little things that really arent that important- let it go and you'll be a lot happier in life than getting upset by these things.

Obviously Im not saying I approve of random gropings but its not worth a second thought.
althoguh your job consists of birds wandering around with their jugs out and blokes walking around backstage with their schlongs out, so a flasher it probably nowt to you.

yeah your probably right- it is perfectly normal for me to have a conversation with naked/semi naked people on a daily basis-makes no difference to me- to be fair i don't even notice. I get prodded and poked by lots of people at work
so you may well have a point, fitting a bra in front of 5-6 people kind of brings you out of your shell!

daytime tv in the UK is the most depressing thing ever, it's either sue someone because you were such a dumb dumb you fell off a ladder, or sell your gold.

The scumbag who groped you on the tube- if an Iranian judge forced him to pay you 500 pounds, would you turn it down?

Yeah, you're out with your kids/ partner/ friends, having a nice time , and then you get groped in oublic, and you respond by punching donald duck. Cue scene and security guys. How would these other people feel? What effect would it all have on their day?

At the end of it- would you say you're even after just a punch?
I don't think a punch is a fair response to a grope...given some people are capable of killing or seriously injuring others with their punches (yes, even women can punch and some do it rather well) I think a slap of humiliation or simply calling attention to everyone to shame the offender is enough.

We're talking about groping not sexual assualt, rape or prolonged unwanted sexual contact.

Why isn't 'groping' a form of sexual assault?

I suppose it depends how you define a grope and where one is groped. A quick brush of a boob is hardly grounds for claiming post traumatic stress disorder. Having your privates felt up for ten minutes would create a lot more distress however for most I imagine.

Both are actually sexual assault in the same way a firm shove and a good punch are both forms of physical assault - I feel minor transgressions are hardly worth anything more than a fine/name and shame/compulsory attendance to some sort of sex offenders or good manners class or something similar unless a repeat offense just as might be the case with minor violent acts.

"A good punch up the bracket never hurt anyone."
Tony Hancock

The Indie had the full box set of Hancock's Half Hour on DVD for 17.99--got to be worth it

Fair enough.........

My daughter (2nd year Law student) was trying to explain to me the difference between 'assault' and 'battery' the other day......

........I'm glad she's the lawyer, and not me..............
