Pajeros..I know some of you love them

Re: Pajeros..I know some of you love them
No science to this but is based on observations of Taxi drivers ranting and raving at the side of the road after they have run their Corolloas into trucks, walls, bits of concrete etc
If something big runs into you (like a full size SUV) then its not going to be good
However if you drive into something big like a truck or a wall then its better to be in something that crumples up and absorbs the shock (unlike an SUV).
The thing that makes them good off road (ladder chassis etc) is the thing that stops them crumpling up particularly well and that energy has to be absorbed somewhere re You and your airbags.
If you had to have a small SUV then check out the 3 door Patrol. Superb off road and looks a hell of a lot better than a Pajero
Next time you see a smashed up Corolla in AD or Dxb then check if the driver is being mopped up with a sponge or if he is arguing by the side of the road. Must be some science in there somewhere
