Packed lunch

Re: Packed lunch
I take sarnies for the first few days, well Portugese Rolls actually....but they get stale if you buy too many so normally Tuesday /Wednesday I'll get left over dinners and Thursday is 'do what the **** I want day' = German Donner Kebab.
I swear I'm a 50yr old in a 25yr old's body...

You can freeze bread you know. Buy enough Portugese rolls for the week but take out enough for the next day's lunch from the freezer the night before.
Do you have a Ben 10 or a Sponge Bob lunchbox?

What's a Portuguese roll? Is this Mumsnet-talk for something else? I feel left out

Frozen bread is rank. Only good for toast.
A friend of mine's wife would freeze his whole sandwich!

Allegedly, motorway service stations and the like "refresh" sandwiches near their sell-by date by recovering the filling and putting it in fresh bread. A man in a pub told me.
