When I went to Hydra by ferry it was like a furnace...much preferred Aegina, Poros and Spetse myself.

My family are actually Greek, my Grandfather was born on Mykonos, the family home was called Mykonos as was their boat. Never been myself, I did like Zante though and of course Lindos

I have been to the Greek Islands fifteen times but always found Mykonos to be windy, arid and full of gays. Much prefer the greenery on Skiathos, Cephalonia, Skopolos and Zakynthos...just watch Captain Correlli's Mandolin filmed mostly on Cephalonia and you will hopefully agree...not a bad flick too.

Already learning the Greek bouzouki (tetrachorda) - Never on a Sunday, (zorba - too difficult without backing) and Sinefiasmeni Kyriaki (Cloudy Sunday) by Vasilis Tsitisanis.

that was on my list for this year. worked like a donkey for the last couple of years so this year I will be taking in some more places. now I just have to narrow down the list of places to visit
