He's superb.
I saw him support Teenage Fanclub (an absolutely tremendous band) at Falkirk town hall about 5/6 years ago. Cracking gig, despite being in Falkirk!!

Teenage Fanclub.... memories! AKA The Fannies... in a nice way.... best harmonies to come out of Scotland for many a year....

yeah I saw teenage fanclub about that time as well in the Toon, they were brilliant.

I believe the cry from the crowd back in the day was "'mon the Fannies", a precursor to today's "'mon the Biff".

The Sunday Times have now also published their Top 100 for 2009:

It's variously segmented, and a few real wild cards thrown in so they have the excuse to show off how eclectic and interesting they are, or should that be arsey!
