Sorry 😳 I must have overlooked this post. Are there any other restaurants other than tapas? Thinking chinese/Thai. Also recommendations for bars for drinks 😀

Madinat is a good shout in theory. There's some half decent places for dinner (Meat Co) and lots of bars to enjoy....downsides, it'll be packed with ****ing helmets and tourists and scumbags and the taxi queue to leave will be monumental and terribly organised with bastards skipping it or walking down the road and flagging the cabs that were meant to be coming to the polite folk queuing.

just go to the Buddha Bar - it's where you'll end up anyway regardless of what we say

Wait. Gottit. There's a thai place at the back that you have to get an abra to (well, don't have to but can). I've been there for a wedding reception I think, it's got a Thai name or something.
Quick google tells me I'm right - Pai Thai.

You can get on the abra's and stuff but it's frankly a bit toss.

Or Pai Thai in Al Qasr followed by Kouba for drinks.
