Most costly decision? Divorcing wife No. 2. Still paying for it now, eight years later. In fact she still emails me asking me for more money, which I don't mind as as long its goes towards the kids.
I wouldn't class it as a mistake though, it was worth it to get rid of her.

A calculation mistake in a rather complicated project quotation. Two months of battling it out with the figures, and overlooked a small error that only grew.Cost my employer in Dutch Guilders nearly 443.000 and me eventually my job.
Got fired at 1 AM after returning to Holland from the Far East. Could hand over my company car and phone. And yes, the longest walk home as well...Dutchie
