I think you're conflating two separate things: carbon credits, and CO2 injection. Masdar may give the UAE some carbon credits which it can trade, but I really doubt it's going to build a 6000km pipeline to Nigeria to bring CO2 here for reinjection.

Interestingly for a while Masdar was buying up carbon credits like no-bodies business to offset the carbon produced during construction.
