Re: Malls
I like the chicken in Waitrose / Spinneys. Big chunky breasts that I like to play with...I mean fill with other ingredients.

For being able to park on the street (for easy reversing and getting straight on to SZR), Oasis Centre. You can get everything you need in half an hour. Good for days when time is precious.
For old time's sake, Burjuman.
For a full day out, MOE
For absolutely everything under one roof - MCC.

I only visit Dubai, so Mirdiff when we need to stock up on "stuff" or Ibn Battuta if we're at Atlantis with the kids

Re: Malls
No mention of Mercato? Easily the best of the small malls, and full of unknown treasures which I keep discovering, years after I first went there - and in that huge underground car park you can always find a space, even at the busiest times.
Virgin Megastore recently closed though, for so-called refurbishment, but the Vox Cinema there is superb (recently opened - it was a Reel before). Good Spinney's too.
And - welcome bonus - the toilets are always spotless.

I quite like a little trip to Mercato but it's a bit of the beaten track for me so to say

Humans with less developed spatial awareness may have problems with Malls. I could never find the right exit from the Rashid Mall in Khobar. I felt safer when I went there with a grown-up.

Re: Malls
More Malls coming, 3 more which will be in about a 5Km triangle. One of 1million square feet in JVT, one of 1/2 million square feet in JVC and one more of 1million square feet at the junction of Al Khail and Sheik Mo (311). How much saturation is required?

Re: Malls
1)Dubai Mall- Best stock choices- but so big I still get lost and it gets so busy now compared to when I first got here. - Would never go there at the weekends apart from first thing Friday morning.
2)Mall Of Emirates- Good for nice furniture, also like Harvey Nics, and they have a decent selection of stores and stock.
3)Mirdiff- Nice and quiet but doesn't have the choice of stores or the best stock- also always get lost trying to find the taxi rank.
4)I also like Marina mall- they have a few decent stores and its always quiet and they have some nice eaty places.
5)Iban Battuta- only go there if I'm having breakfast at the Lime Tree café but they have a decent level of stores.

Re: Malls
I only ever go to MCC or Festival city (and on a friday/saturday morning). I would rather shave the insides of my eyelids than go to any of the other malls here.

Re: Malls
Malls here are often a dead loss for anything I'm likely to want beyond groceries and impulse purchases. Buying online is the way forward - you get the exact make and model you want without being told "Sorry sir, out of stock" or "Sorry sir, not in Dubai", and at a much better price.
