Re: Machete attack in London
Bluecat, the problem with these extremists is that they believe what they are doing is right. They are willing to sacrifice their own lives for their beliefs, I don't think they will lose much sleep worrying about the impact their actions will have on their extended family.

IMHO, the only people who can change things are the Muslims themselves. If they, as Umma (Muslim society) continue to stay quiet ( a lame condemnation notice does not count), nothing will change.
What can they do? At least raise their voices loud and clear, serious PR against this extremism, they simply need to get organized and work against this . |

Seems the talkative one lived 5 miles from my House in a quiet Village. Not sure where he will get radical ideas from in Rural lincolnshire where even in the City Centre its 96% White.

But they wont. Why not? What have they to hide?
Is it like the catholic church saying a few years back that their priests don't abuse kids? I think the main problem is to organize a global society. There are so many different cultures in this society, so many different levels of understanding and education. Then, it's just life...people live their lives, they 'get on with it", they are not really interested in change...unless, of course, at some point they feel the consequence of what the society is deemed to be like, themselves. And still, even then, there will only be blame put upon those who dish out those consequences. Maybe, if one country started to take this serious, and made the effort to start the ball rolling and success in some form were evident, then it might spread. |
Re: Machete attack in London
Well, we were in town today having a coffee and the atmosphere was eerie..it was just like 7/7 (we were visiting the UK at the time) or like 9/11 when we were living in Abu Dhabi.
I know thier are lots of people on the social network saying all sorts of crazy things, and they are stupid morons, but this is was happening yesterday on the streets of our Country in broad daylight!! It has sickened even the most tolerent of people. Everyday, people in the UK are being squeezed by the government, food, petrol, tax etc, jobless people cant afford gas, electric and foodbanks are popping up in every town, yet go for a walk around Sunderland, Durham, Newcastle, Middlesbrough..and you will see for yourself the amount of immigrants. People are starting to say " enough". Channel 4 are showing a documentary this evening its about the two "muslim" gangs that were grooming and raping the white girls..this is going to add a bit more fuel to the fire. |

Has it actually been confirmed that the killers were Muslim?
