Re: LIFE IN DUBAI FOR A BRITISH EXPAT
I tell you what I'm not tolerant about ... the name calling and swearing .. lets cut it out folk pretty please. I'm trying to drink my cup of tea and eat a chocolate biscuit whilst I browse through some threads. If want swearing and name calling I'll pop to the bar later
Many thanks

I can see why he asked that though. We often get folk using the forums for research for things but they don't come out and really say that.
So to satisfy our curiosity are you planning on moving to Dubai? As I note at one time you were looking at Spain.

It is their 'Friday night ' though and I guess many of them are in the virtual bar with a shot of sasparilla talking to their screens.

Ok, so you are just interested in what life is like for folk who live in Dubai as opposed to someone (like yourself) who is holidaying there?

Life is hard and stupid questions get stupid answers.
Nobody coming on asking for help and being polite gets shot down. OJ always offers advice and help to people.

Life is different to the UK because of the climate, we do a lot more outdoor things than we would in the UK, swimming most days as we have a shared swimming pool something we wouldn't have in UK. Apart from that life goes on, school run every day, husband at work 5 days a week. Eat out more than we would in UK. Got a nicer car than I would have at home.

Then why didn't you actually ask some questions? That would be the logical thing to do. Your initial post didn't actually do that & then you got arsey when ribbed.
A quick read of just a few posts would have given you some insight, then you could have asked some relevant questions.
