Agreed - and here in the office I will be accompanied by two South African colleagues as we step outside for two minutes of respectful silence.

They shall grow not old,
As we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them,
Nor the years condemn,
At the going down of the sun
And in the morning
We will remember them.

Beautifully observed here............
There we were, myself and a fellow Englishman, and SA and Filipino colleagues, standing/waiting outside the main entrance of the bank at about 10.58GMT when two Saudi colleagues walked by, and asked what we were doing.
I told them, and they said "May we join you?".
Of course they could.......... not sure if they fully understood the significance of it, but it struck me as the sort of gesture that, if about 6 billion people could emulate it, would make the world a better place.
