First ever seat for the Greens.......... and remarkable verbal fisticuffs about an hour ago between Sky's Adam Boulton and Ed "Load Of" Balls...........

The Dean.. a bit dissapointed that your coverage of this is less than anticipated..but maybe you are waiting on the results...
Congrats to Caroline Lucas and good ol Nick.. just won his seat...
So its over to Cameron then...
What does the projected results mean for expats?

Well at least that prick Lembit Opik has been voted out, complete tool.

he accused the media of being biased against Labour but then didnt react all that well when Boulton mentioned that he didn't remember Campell complaining whe all the media was firmly behind Labour. Quite amusing

I hate Gordon Brown as much as the next man (unless the next man is Bill Cosby) but credit to him for (reportedly) suggesting that he won't take part in some sort of electoral stitch-up that keeps him in office.
The public obviously saw through the Nick Clegg factor (the Dim Libs have actually LOST seats).
Expect Cameron to be in Downing St by Monday..... somehow.

Weird, weird night. I gave up waiting for poll results to come in and went to bed but failed to sleep well.
Like everyone else I didn't expect the LibDem collapse.
I want to see what the actual vote breakdown was percentage-wise. It's clear that the Tories have a higher % of the vote than Lab did in 2005 but with far fewer seats - so if Labour manages to hold on through a coalition with the Lib-Dem we're in for a very ugly mood in Britain for a long time. Half the country will hate the other half.

but the way it is looking a Labour-LibDem coalition would not even have a majority.

I honestly don't think so. The incumbent PM traditionally has first dibbs at trying to form a coalition. I predict next Thursday before Gordon the Moron eventually concedes. Meanwhile, what about the Dow Jones dropping 700pts in 5 minutes last night. Scary.

The Lib Dem vote is about 23%. Shows up FPTP for what it is.
I think we'll see a Lib/Lab pact with maybe Scots and Plaid Cymru to get the majority and Gordon will be forced to go.

Well, whatever the results we're set for another general election within a year.

And Clegg has just been on TV offering his hand in marriage to Dave Cameron...depends what Dave offers back, I suppose.
