I for one wouldn't mind bringing back the nicer aspects of western culture but if I am expected to wear a hat (which I certainly wouldn't not mind) I would expect women to make the effort too (ie, no flip flops except at the beach) but it's not going to happen so I live in my own eccentric bubble of pipe smoking, suit wearing and using my knife and fork properly.

Perhaps we should start a club to celebrate such things...?
