Re: Hurricane Sandy
'Obama supporters' have been telling people not to give Red Cross money to deal with the disaster today as they reckon the administration sucks up too much of the cash.
This came after Romney had been donating to Red Cross..........

Ahhhhhh........ the Red Cross - have they improved since they visited the Nazi concentration camps in 1943 and declared them 'hard but correct'? Useless bastards..........

Could ask the same about all those firms like Hugo Boss, Siemens and Ford who had ties with the NDSAP. It has been 70 years.

Re: Hurricane Sandy
This is complete bullshit. The complaints with the Red Cross have come from Staten Island residents angry about the time taken to get relief supplies to their borough, the most severely affected part of NY despite all the publicity given to Manhattan. There is a report on a right wing blog site that the borough president called for this boycott supposedly in the presence of both NY senators who are Democrats but I can't find this substantiated anywhere respectable. Smacks to me of desperate attempts by the losing Repug campaign to try and turn Sandy into a negative for the president. Tough for them when he has handled it flawlessly unlike Romney's sickening staged canned food drives which were poorly concealed political rallies and unhelpful to boot. NOTHING at all to do with Obama... Jeez.....

Re: Hurricane Sandy
From what I have seen most of the news stories are from Manhattan whereas as Miss Anne says Staten Island is really suffering, but also much of Long Island. My brother lives there and whilst he has really only lost power and had minor damage, a friend's mother and sister have had their homes destroyed. Other people I know have homes that were flooded out and severly damaged. Much of LI is still without power although the local company is working around the clock and firemen are working on their days off to help clear and get properties safe.
It's no joke when your home looks like this:

Don't forget the pre-war lefties were all for eugenics and yet they are (correctly) not being dismissed on those grounds today.
