It is always hard to know how things are, particularly when opinion pieces with some blatantly inaccurate statements are presented as objective news reports5 reasons Dubai property prices aren't falling this time around - Emirates 24|7 Stable confidence: Despite oil prices slumping, consumer and corporate confidence has remained stable, with the country’s firms continuing to hire staff and expand their presence although no longer at a breakneck speed.
Realistic rentals: With no job-losses this time around, rentals have held much better despite new properties being added to the market on a regular basis.

I remember all the government leaders and CEOs of property agencies who kept insisting everything was fine and rental prices would never crash in late 2008. Yep. Right. Got it. Definitely not happening this time.

Things are going down now. Friend of mine is manager of a big hotel, made redundant this morning. Cutting loads of staff.

It's been a few weeks since I've heard of big culls now. Almost started thinking we had already hit rock bottom..

A ferrari, with bizarrely scatched out number plate was abandoned outside our house on Thrusday. The police came and took it yesterday. Apparently, the owner had 'moved to Dubai'. DOn't know if that was a euphamism.
