this month is picking up a bit from Africa definitely
I want to go on an Africa trip, first to Malawai, then Uganda, then Kenya and then Siera Leone to meet all of my customers there and make new customers and then just sit in my hotel room at nights and not do anything at all when im free.......honest....what?

Business for me is intermittent - in general when times are like this we switch from investing in equity to debt. As I'm the equity person, I find myself with more time on my hands.
Still, got a great deal that I'm currently working on right now. Bit of a distressed sale too which helps.
All the other PE people I know say the same.

We got paid last Tuesday, the last day of Ramadan, from the government, to say i was amazed would be an understatement.

Won two nice tenders in Qatar last week. Approx value around 40MM QAR. Not too bad. Must admit we were a bit surprised as Doha has been cancelling everything left and right not connected to the WC or LR&DP.
AD remains deader than Death Valley on the hottest day of the year.
On a more positive note there is a slight chance I won't get relocated to Qatar later this year

Tell me about it, although, as per a contract with Abu Dhabi Ministry, it said they had to pay us within 30 working days of acceptance of phase and invoice, they paid us exactly a calendar month to the day. So I was impressed.
