Going for the first time this year - I seem to remember there was some mention of shuttle buses or something?

Apart from driving, which I might do or getting a hotel which is looking pricy - I thought Scamp or some one else on here mentioned a shuttle bus?

Can't see any info at all on the official site for Dubai transport...

Not going this year

However, not sure on buses (I bet there are some). We got a taxi up and back one day, solid 250/300 depending on where in DXB you leave/return from/to.

Safe Driver were all completely booked when I tried too late last year.

Was too expensive to stay in Yas and figured if I was going to queue for a cab to a hotel nearby, I may as well just sleep in the taxi back to Dubai.

Made the mrs drive on raceday (she had to work so drove up after we'd arrived by cab and drove us all home....result).

Basically, none of that is any use to you but it is the exact train of thought and ideas I went through and ended up with just getting taxis.

Last year we got a taxi down there, 270dh. The return taxi was around 200dh.

Think we'll be doing the taxi thing this year. Not heading to the F1 so to speak. Have a spot booked on a mega yacht and will spend the day drinking before heading to the Jay Z concert.

Been there and done the F1 thing, including being a Marshall in year 1. Was good, but don't expect anything like what you get at F1's in other countries.
