I had a gay friend from school whose theory is a sliding scale. You're born on a sliding scale of sexuality. Say 1 = 100% homosexual and 10 = 100% heterosexual.

Most people are born within 1-3 or 7-10, but there are people born in the middle-ish. His theory is that people can be born at 5 and end up going straight or gay due to early childhood development. A few will be born at 3-4 but due to circumstances end up straight even if they otherwise have a lot of the gay characteristics, or born at 6 and be very masculine but still end up gay.

Just for what it's worth.

I have never believed that anyone is 100% anything. We all have a bit of gayness (or straightness) in us, but to varying degrees.

It's a sad affliction

I seem to have some sort of alcohol allergy as I cannot drink more than two units of any alcohol without getting a raging headache. I though it was a yeast intolerance, but same reaction to beer, wine and spirits.

Damn annoying as living and working here, you really need a few drinks from time to time.

You are either straight or gay in my book- ask any gay man what he thinks of bisexual men and they will tell you they are gay. However I think bisexual men are straight.

Ok so what is it that makes you gay- would say its a man who is attracted to men physically and mentally.

Now some straight men may well like a bit of erm how do I put this erm hmm 'bum attention' but they like it with women, however not all women are up for that- . I think alot of straight men that have gay experiences are looking for something sexually rather than wanting a relationship with a man, some confuse this as being gay - its being attracted to men that makes you gay not getting buggared! I mean come on how many women will don a strap on for their hubby- not many Im sure. Oh god this is going down as my worst post ever!

Kitty – you have gone up in my estimation immensely! The entertainment factor alone would be enough but the fact that you are keen to stress the difference between deriving pleasure from “alternative attention” and being homosexual is just hilarious.
