I reckon the lady has more things to worry about than the typical cheeky chappy. It's the quietest ones we should all worry about harmless banter and if not confident enough to accept that without challenge I certainly wouldn't be trying to move country or continue a life in one alone lol! I'm not a pervy man acting like a school kid.. and I thought it was funny . Am sure if she was offended she would say so, as sticking up for your own battle is usually a good start to life in general

And anyway, if someone can't take a bit of harmless sexist/racist humour, then ... something. It's good for them and their character in the long run. Yeah. Right?

I'd also like to say that I thought it was just harmless banter and if I thought it might be perceived as crude, I wouldn't have said it.

After my month of soul searching reflection, I'm thinking the same thing. I cannot tolerate all this innuendo, sexism, and Norm's brand of racism dressed up as well researched and harmless prejudice any longer.
I look back at my previous troll like posts with shame. Things were much simpler when we discussed car batteries and VPNs.

I've always held the view that what's posted in the Sand Pit is fair game, unless its very clear that a poster is in genuine distress: its strap line is "off-topic chit chat", and therefore surely not intended to be serious. OK, things get serious from time to time, but the very nature of chit chat is that if flies off at tangents, including comments which are intended to be humourous.
By-and-large the Middle East forum proper and the ME Job Discussions forum are contributed to seriously: for what its worth, I (try to) avoid posting anything that could be deemed offensive, sarcastic or flippant in those forums.
Isn't that why there are 3 forums for the Middle East?

Where can I get a car battery that doubles as a VPN and maid-beating device?
