BTL re-mortgage
Greetings all,
I’ll be looking around for a new mortgage soon, to begin in May.
I know it isn’t easy getting one as an expat, difficult but not impossible, at least from what I’ve read on the forum!
I’m a UK citizen and working in KSA and as far as I know, no one is interested; I’m looking for a 60-70% LTV, BTL re-mortgage.
I did try the search, but didn't come up with much in the way of info.
Any advice or help would be great.
Regards
DS

I don't use stupid titles as I am Independent Financial Adviser that offers a proper service and long term members of this forum know that's the case.
UK mortgages for expats are available but it's getting harder to arrange them since the UK tightened up lending rules. You 'll need a deposit/equity of at least 25% and to borrow GBP 100k+ to make it worth the lender's while. Expats will need to be in a secure job with a known company in most cases too.
I don't arrange mortgages myself but I have a good contact in the UK who I have known for over 10 years and to whom I refer my clients. If you'd like an introduction you can contact me by email and info is on my website on the link below.

I complete on a UK house on Monday. Expatn Mortgage with natwest via a Cheshire broker. No dramas at all. 25 per cent deposit required. Paperwork took 2 hours to gather plus 5 mins with a solicitor and one letter from HR
