Just had a look see...not my cup of tea. I prefer somewhere green and jungly rather than dry and arid. Off to Malindi, East Kenya in a few weeks.

Bring your body armour and fire extinguisher.

I spend a month in Kenya a few years ago, lovely place. Shame about the politicians.

But Malindi is a beach town (very clean and pleasant mind)...so I don't imagine you'll be seeing much jungle

I guess Damascus has changed quite since I last been there about 9 years ago...At the time, it was so 80s...
You also should've tried getting a nice plate of hummous in the back alleys...Authentic...
