maybe it's the next big thing for has-been 'celebs'... Chavs can easily enough be persuaded to buy a perfume because it has been 'designed' by some wash-up, after all.

It just follows on from the other named buildings that are being done in Dubai.
There is the Niki Lauda building that had all the fire exits removed from the design.
Also the boris Becker building that doesn't have any cleaning cupboards.
Schumacher also has one, which will house Dubai's large population of cobblers.

Admittedly, this doesn't qualify him like a 7 year uni course in architecture, but it puts him a little bit above just sticking your name on the plans...

Don't quote me but I think he has been designing properties and building them for the last 15 years or so, I seem to remember reading that somewhere. Anyway, I'll be at the opening night if he is (Ms Jolie will be off having babies somewhere and won't be able to attend!).

The project is in Al Ain and his name has been linked with it for some time. I've seen inital plans and it all looks very interesting...

My dad also worked as an architect in the early seventies...Happy times...Dubai wasn't discovered at the time...
