Helpful? - Not that surprising that there is no response! (Respect is commodity that has to be earned, it is never taken for granted!) AND HOW DARE YOU REFER TO ME IN THAT WAY! EXPECT THE LETTER FROM THE LAWYER!
Do not forget that we now have Policemen and Policewomen in the UK suing their employers! Unfortunately the UK has followed the path of 'If there is Blame there is a Claim!' Perhaps this should become a future Thread? Edit: Oh, and you need to watch Hot Fuzz--we do not have policemen and policewomen in the UK. Can I just throw in tosser again? |
Re: boston marathon
jackthehat can I suggest you take more water with it. You're confusing Bob with me, I'm ATC. And FYI ATC have nothing, zero, zip, zilch and nada to do with where the airlines choose to divert aircraft to nor baggage handling. Perhaps you're confusing the professional guys who use the radar to the guys with the orange ping pong bats, easy mistake to make.

Re: boston marathon
I'm not usually a google professor but in relation to this thread I'd like to chuck in this nugget as it expresses what I feel.
Patton Oswalt Boston. F***ing horrible. I remember, when 9/11 went down, my reaction was, "Well, I've had it with humanity." But I was wrong. I don't know what's going to be revealed to be behind all of this mayhem. One human insect or a poisonous mass of broken sociopaths. But here's what I DO know. If it's one person or a HUNDRED people, that number is not even a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a percent of the population on this planet. You watch the videos of the carnage and there are people running TOWARDS the destruction to help out. (Thanks FAKE Gallery founder and owner Paul Kozlowski for pointing this out to me). This is a giant planet and we're lucky to live on it but there are prices and penalties incurred for the daily miracle of existence. One of them is, every once in awhile, the wiring of a tiny sliver of the species gets snarled and they're pointed towards darkness. But the vast majority stands against that darkness and, like white blood cells attacking a virus, they dilute and weaken and eventually wash away the evil doers and, more importantly, the damage they wreak. This is beyond religion or creed or nation. We would not be here if humanity were inherently evil. We'd have eaten ourselves alive long ago. So when you spot violence, or bigotry, or intolerance or fear or just garden-variety misogyny, hatred or ignorance, just look it in the eye and think, "The good outnumber you, and we always will." |
Re: boston marathon
Just seen this on the BBC website:
No further Boston threat, says FBI The FBI says there are "no known additional threats" in Boston after the marathon bombing, and that no unexploded devices have been found. Not sure if that's just the normal inept reporting of the BBC, or whether its compounded by the FBI: from what I've read, there was no known threat of the initial bombs, so its hardly comforting to know that the FBI don't know of any further threats. |
Re: boston marathon
Im just tired of it all, violence begets violence begets a**holes with drones begets a**holes with suicide vests begets a**holes that build walls begets more a**holes with more bombs ffs!

Radcliff states the bleeding obvious:
Paula Radcliffe says spectators at the London Marathon will need to be more aware of security following the bombing of the Boston Marathon on Monday. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/athletics/22173098 |

Re: boston marathon
Just saw a really horrible photo on Twitter of a poor guy being taken away on a wheelchair with stumps of bone and flesh where his lower legs used to be.
And Boston is one of the more liberal places in The USA as well? Probably one of the last places over there that you would expect something like this to happen. My heart goes out to the poor dad who was running who's 8 year old son was killed, and his wife and daughter seriously injured. The world is a f***ed up place right enough.......and some people are more worried about whether or not the mods have a right to comment? Words fail me... |
