You should thank me for caring enough to vote either way rather than being not bovvered, like the majority. That surely hurts a troll more.

Re: BethPageBlack...
Since the discussion seems to have moved on here...
I am fascinated by the US of A. Have been only twice...once to Minneapolis and once to NY / Long Island. I have found most Americans to be polite, friendly, warm and genuinely interested in other people. The 8 years of Bush was an unfortunate time and turned a lot of people off the country, which is a shame. It has its extremes...high mountains and deep valleys, glittering metropoplises and tiny backwaters, gun-toting red-state rednecks and...Woody Allen.
I would love dearly...I'd say it's on my bucket list...to drive across the country coast to coast and see as much of it as I could. I read Kerouac's "On The Road" and it inspired me and moved me. Catch 22 is also one of favourite books...Catcher in the Rye too.
Blue Cat, I think you're a great lady but honestly feel you're closing your mind to a lot with this attitidue to America. Surely you must watch Hollywood movies, right? The TV can be trashy and trite, yes, but some of it just pisses on British TV, IMO. I urge you to give it a chance. And read some great American literature as well. I dare ya.

Admon - openly, to include all, you're fine to post here - it's just the pure, direct, personal stuff that needs to stop. C'mon man, please move on from this - not at all sure why you feel you have to post like that all the time - but can we not call a truce?
