I'm rarely one to defend mentalist but on this occasion I understood his point, which I believe was a) fewer people and b) adults not innocent children. He didn't say it wasn't sad or worthy of pity and I think some of you are deliberately misunderstanding in order to try and be contentious.

I admit to finding it sadder if small children are killed as they haven't had a real chance of life yet and it is so hard for a parent to lose a small child. I can barely bring myself to read the report from Houla and finding out that some of the children were mutilated is horrific.
