yes works brilliantly, how long for though is another matter but I have been using it for weeks now. I still download stuff though due to time difference.

I got it not long ago, download all my tunes and films onto my iPod touch - watch them in the cab on the way back from work then finish watching them on the big tv. It's brilliant.

I am watching BBC news on 'filmon' on my ipad as I type..it is a wonderful app...love it! :-D

I was told that the bbc iplayer app will not allow HDMI connections to the TV.


If this is the case, then I'll be buying an Apple TV thingy.

how do you vpn with an apple tv then?

you don't need a VPN if you get filmon

well, I'm assuming that the downloading is done via the ipad and streamed to the Apple TV?? or does the ipad instruct the Apple TV to do it?

Anyway, I use a DNS spoofer - no VPN here, so I'd just change its DNS settings.

If you have a VPN then simply switch it on, Apple TV will transmit bbc player etc quite happily
