There are Republicans who are not buying into this however - sadly not enough. I hope the party has a shake up after loosing the last election.

Over the last 40-odd years I have met quite a few converts. (Or "reverts" if you accept the Party Line about everyone being born a Muslim) A few had converted because they wished to marrty a Muslim women.
The ones who did it out of belief or for material benefits were all stark staring mad. Barking. That included the ones who thought it would guarantee security of tenure in their jobs in Saudi.

Many don't know that leaving is not allowed and their own scriptures and schools of though proscribe imprisonment or the death penalty.
I know of no other religion which applies this rule.

I don't think I'll ever understand why an all-powerful God needs so much protection by angry mobs.

Not really a comparison to the Islamic treatment of apostates. Only the Mafia has comparable rules when you want to leave.

I'm getting tired of this thread, but just want to point out to one poster that atheists and marxists or socialist are not the same thing.
Atheism is a lack of belief, it's not a specific group, or anything like a religion. An atheist can tell you why they don't believe in any deity and prefer science and logic, yet believers cannot seem to do the same. I'd actually prefer it if one just said that they simply do and it seems/feels right to them rather than trying to prove the impossible.

Not sure about the purpose, I guess some people get a lot out of it. We used to have monthly services there instead of regular assembly which was cool.

So Marxism is a religion is it? I'm guessing Thatcherism is too then.

Cheap internet sites? More like cheap personal attacks instead of addressing the facts presented. However advance the Greeks were, they, nor others like them had the level of knowledge as described in the Quran. As such, many a scientist, of which you are none, have accepted Islam.
If you fail to see how the numerous scientic facts mentioned in Quran--knowledge which we have only discovered ourselves--point to a Creator, then you are more lost than I thought. Nothing of which I mentioned is vague. Cite your example if you are truthful.

I wish religious people would be more honest and simply state they believe this to be true and leave it at that. Faith means to believe without evidence. Why do you care about proving your belief to us kaffirs?

You haven't presented anything. You've cut and paste a speculative interpretation of a vaguely worded text. As for addressing it I suggest you see some if my other posts.
As to dare not, I think it's clear I'm quite willing to do so within the limits of the country I live in

In Muslim countries we can go to jail...seem like a dreadfully insecure system to me.
