Re: Another unsurprising story
Wasn't joking. We had a great experience with ours. 2006 Ocean Race special edition. Bought for ~90k in 2010, sold for ~40k in 2014.
4.8l v8, Oman Dubai runs were a blessing with the in seat DVDs screens headphones for the kids.
Was a seriously great car for us and saved us from a number of intoxicated drivers.
Ah well. Different experiences.

The one she bought was 2006, bought in 2011 (maybe, or 2012) for 45k ish.
It never broke completely but lots of things were trying to break. It regularly made the odd funny noise and regularly needed new stuff done. I drove it once and when I started the engine and put into D (with foot on brake) it moved forward. She had no idea that was a bad thing.
So, in summary. It might be better than I give it credit for in the right hands. When I tried to drive it that day, I decided against it and banned her from doing so until we could get it to a garage. The guys shared my outrage / surprise at her for being so dangerous.
Look. It survived and got her around but I was permanently expecting a call saying she was on Al Khail stranded with a blown up car.

Wearing a seat-belt is another sign of weakness. This applies to all your passengers too - especially the children.

and now they've made it an offence to eat or drink whilst driving but smoking is still ok!
