Just had an idea related (kinda) to this. How many times have we said "yeah, right..." when we heard about new plans?

Do we remember the times when we were wrong, or just the rest? It would be a good research topic on selective memory...

When I was there I would get dizzy driving along the Emirates Road or out towards Hatta and shaking my head at all the big signs for Falcon City of Wonders or Badawi or The Lagoons...All I could think was "Are they having a laugh?"

Maybe they were.

I can remember when I was first told about the Springs and Meadows development. We took a ride up there (miles away) and walked the foundations of the Springs. The houses were tiny!!! I said to my husband "who the hell is going to rent these". The two beds came on rent at 45k and there were tons of them empty.

How was wrong I!! I thought the Arabian Ranches would fail as well

I think the Springs are in the process of failing as we speak. Half or more sit empty and nearly all are shabby. I think the rest of Emirates Living is doing better, though not by loads.
