Sorry but I had to intervene and stop you creating a record for the most consecutive posts on a single thread, Spugsy. Incidentally, there was a report on tribalfootball.com that MCFC would announce at 11am today the sacking of Chief Executive Geoff Cook which would mean Mark Hughes would probably follow, but it now seems to have been an April Fools prank. Hope your Shearer story isn't one too.

you know that wouldn't have happened though, as much as you may hate shearer he was ****in hard as nails, Keane was just mental, there's a big difference.
Can't wait to see who takes over from Ferguson mind, hopefully an old favourite like steve bruce, keane, cantona etc....

can't see fergie packing in for a few more years yet.
would like to see one of the old boys get it but they all seem to falter in their management careers. bruce seems to be the best of the lot though.
think when he does go it could be matin o'neil taking over.

Re: alan shearer
he was hated by many supporters whilst he was there but now many realise what a big role he played. tactically we have not been as good since he left. But not the right man to be in charge though

Re: alan shearer
he was a brilliant player, giggs / scholes / keane / beckham was one of the best midfields of any team, ever.

Er, no............... MU wanted him before that, but he chose Blackburn instead.
For years after, the Old Trafford faithful (whenever Shearer played there) chanted unflattering things about his... er... greed............
