Just a minute. A state-owned French company is, with Chinese capirtal, building power plants in the UK because we have forgotten how to build nuclear power plants ! Great ? Like the Roman Empire was great. History. Gone. It's all over.

Another nationalised undertaking, German Railways is the main sharedholder in Arriva which owns much of the public transport nation in this once-great state.

And we are forced to listen to those bankers tell us that private enterprise is the only way forward !

It's the only way forward for them and their shareholders.

!

No problems, all the British need to do is change back to broad gauge again. That way, if/when the Germans invade, they'll be delayed by a few hours at least, even if they do own the train company.

So you also disagree with British companies owning overseas companies and building things overseas as well?

Yes. Unfortunately, innovation is becoming a casualty of budgetary priorities in the US.

It did in times gone by, coupled with great industries, also long gone.

So sad :(

planning on moving back in the next 5 years but I am concerned over the "over government" and excess of nonsense rules that now exist. The refreshing british way of finding solutions to problems is now replaced with people hiding behind rules and more rules.........worrying.
