I wouldn't be so quick to that conclusion, as wind farms are a bit of a white elephant. They promise much, but deliver very little - and kill wildlife as a bonus.
WIF was founded by Dave Hill, who runs a construction company in Halifax. His personal view that wind farms are a white elephant is about as relevant as that of my plumber.

I don't understand what this bandying of employment news snippets is about. The fact is that notwithstanding loss of jobs here and gaining of some there, the UK's unemployment figure looks very good compared with our continental neighbours, and it isn't much worse than the USA.
The real issue is the fall in wages, the quality of the work created, and the lack of success in rebalancing the UK economy. In the latter context, losing Royal Mail jobs and gaining windfarm jobs is what we want more of.

Who are you going to link to next? Nigel Lawson? Christopher Booker? Lord Monckton? Or one of the other clowns?

Sorry, but Delingpole is no improvement on Dave HIll. Even the Daily Telegraph has now dropped his blog. The man is an utter joke. And he has no expertise whatsoever on wind farms.

Perhaps you should give a pre-approved list. I'm one of the few people who on this forum that gives links as support - as opposed to some who largely just troll with outrageous statements and then ignore any request for a source of their information.

If you read the article you'll see that they say they object to around 6% of all applications, depending on the site. That doesn't make windfarms 'white elephants' which was your original point.

Whether the RSPB object or not has no bearing if a project is a white elephant. It just means that organisation objects probably due to likelihood of bird death - although it does seem they've increased their tolerance level on this aspect more recently.

I think windfarms should be in the "What makes Britain completely crap." thread. I cannot stand the sight of the bloody things.
