Re: Skin
Since being in the US, I stay indoors most of the time, because if I go outside prepared for some tanning action, I end up with a vicious heat-rash on my legs, even with high SPF lotion. Most of my body is so pale, I actually reflect the sunlight!
Seriously, though, my skin tans horribly. When my family came to see me last Xmas, my brother asked when I last had a bath, as my face was kind of tanned, but the skin on my arms was a patchwork quilt of peachy pale skin and golden brown skin. Florida is the worst place I could live if I have any chance of getting a nice complexion! I also have quite deep crows feet and frown lines now due to squinting in the ever-blinding sun.
Seeing very deeply tanned people makes me feel a little bit sick, as they look like dried out old tea-bags, but a nice healthy glow looks good, I just can't achieve it to save my life!
