There is a picture in todays Telegraph showing her majesty traveling on a scheduled train. Why? Is because she isn't the pope or....?

Blooming disgrace it is.

I'll have to bookmark chit chat but anyway take a look at this older lady who comes running up the street as some thieves are using a sledge hammer to break into a jewlers shop window.
Can you believe she runs up the street to take on six thieves with sledge hammers and she hits them with her handbag!
The end result is the police capture six of the thieves!
Why is there an upper age limit on being a policeman if this woman isn't afraid to take on six louts? We need more like her!
See video:

You have me there twice, fourth from the top, and at the bottom--I am betweentwoworlds (sometimes shortened to BTW) also known as Tina. And yes, I am 54.

Ok Beedubya you twisted my arm

Hubby to be & I met right after we started school way back in 1963. We went through school for the next three years in the same class until I came to Canada in 1966. We didn't really hang around together much but I guess we must have always been aware of one another because out of the three or four in that first infants class that I can remember, he stands out. I never saw him again after I came to Canada. Then about 6 years ago I signed up for this site called "Friends Reunited" based in the UK. I never bothered with it much for the longest time but then one day, there was a familiar name on my old school group. We exchanged messages for the longest time and discovered we had a common love of music and eventually realized we shared a lot of common values etc. We were friends for the longest time & gradually fell for one another. We met face to face again for the first time in 44 years last October and it was like we'd never been apart. He's my best friend and the love of my life and March 31 can't come quick enough!

So there you have it folks, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Blackcatsfan Yes, I know Hebburn, just a couple of stops up the metro line, I've got a cousin there

Charleygirl Hi there and thanks for the welcome, hope you liked my story

Oh that story is sooo cool. I love a wonderful love story with a happy ending, thanks for sharing your story with us.

Funny enough my friend is in the UK now after another Friends Reunited reunion, she met up with a guy she was engaged to when she was 23, 30 years later I dropped her off at the airport May 2010 and she flew to meet up with her long lost love, they now live together up North and are very happy though she misses Australia (she is English).

The Internet might have some bad points about it, but LOTS of good stuff too.

I was just thinking; I know that some of my Chinese and Malay neighbours in Singapore have a post-natal 'Jamu' massage and belly wrap (belly binding) as soon as they have delivered their babies....many of them bind their bellies for at least 3-5 and up to 40 days in a 'bengkung' wrap. It's also practised in Indonesia, Malaysia, South America, China etc. and I suspect probably in Thailand too?

http://mamasandbabies.blogspot.com/2...y-binding.html

Quite a number of Western companies now sell belly wraps (a bit like a girdle) for new mothers.... eg.

http://www.bellyco.com.au/home.html and

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Belly-Bandi...7127508&sr=8-1

but maybe Tim could set herself up with a thriving business doing the Jamu (or similar) post-natal massages with herbs and perhaps even teaching new mums to do baby massages? Even better if she could go to the homes of the mothers. She could also sell the belly wraps/binders too. It would certainly appeal to the environmentally conscious, organic food eating parents!

In Singapore gift vouchers for post-natal massages are often given to new mothers too. There are always adverts for these kind of massages in the mother & baby magazines and at playgroups, clinics etc.

I would have loved a few post-natal massages when my children were born (they're grown up now!)

She wants to do Thai & Oil Massages, when we are home, and wanted to do them, in the spare bedroom, but I fear the powers that be, might not allow, ( health & safety, and Insurance), so it will be a Bike Job, for a while. there is a nearby, beauty salon, she has emailed, but like most emails, they never replied.

What am I doing wrong? Do I need to turn my computer off or sumit?
The Expat shield icon sits in your tool bar down at the bottom right hand side, you need to click on it and click on the line that says Connect/ON, this will take a little while and will bring up a page, you will see the icon change to orange as it tries to connect to the server, then it turns to green when you have a connection. Then you can go to your BBC and ITV players and open them, they will think you are in the UK and Bob's your uncle!!!

It does have annoying pop ups but I just ignore them and think it is worth the annoyance for a fanastic free service.
