Default This might be a daft question

I need to bring back my small alarm clock. Not only is it of sentimental value (dad gave it to me before he died) but i need it on my return.
I am a bit worried about causing a kerfuffle at the airport...LMAO A ticking clock could cause a bit of an upset
Would it be accepted as hand luggage, in the hold, or not allowed at all?

Worry you not - I travel with TWO alarm clocks all the time - always as carry-on

(If it's actually ticking, it might be an idea to let it run down before travelling...)
