Default Immigrants 'targeted by Home Office fraudsters'

At lease the UK is not such a bad place after all! It appears that people are willing to pay thousands of pounds in order to settle in the country.

On the other hand, if there is any evidence of Home Office employees taking payments in order to approve visas, as the JCWI suggested, then it should pass on any evidence to the Home Office / police for investigation.

Certainly a problem in the past with locally engaged staff in places like Lagos and Accra.

The article says they met outside the Home Office and in McDonald's to hand over cash. Well are you telling me that they do not know this is fraudulently getting a visa? Come on! Perhaps it is just that these people are used to doing business this way and expect the same in UK? You apply for visa in person in an office, at airport or by post and we all know visa officers do not contact you. Hell you cannot even find a number to call it is so "closed". They took a chance!

Internal fraud is a risk in all Government Offices.

No more so than in private firms and non-government organisations.

Most government employees are straigt and honest in their work.

The journalists are quite good at exposing these immigration scams which then bring in a change of law and deportations. I.e. scam marriages, scam sponsors for work visas, scam student colleges, scam English tests.

Just look at the tens of thousands who got deported/and still are being deported, over the TOEIC fraud when the BBC Panorama programme exposed that. Those who fought deportation as they hoped to continue the lie in the appeal courts have discovered that UKVI have the tapes of their tests and have been using voice recognition software.

Or the student colleges scam where they found a big fake college, closed that and then just sat back and watched to see where their students ran to for sponsorship, so they could close hundreds of those smaller fake colleges too. Then the UK brought new rules in for students to close those abuses by not allowing them to work or bring their families with them as many of these were very mature students.

Quite a few recently reporting that they applied for British citizenship only to be refused and that they also had their ILR revoked too as UKVI are now checking on all previous immigration history. By doing this UKVI have discovered a pattern of new scams. Even those using EU laws are getting caught out by the UKVI now checking their past.

Some even reporting they have had their British citizenship revoked for using deception in the past. Others getting caught out by the UK's new no longer allowing them 'in country' appeals, brought in to stop that abuse.

Each time they find a scam, they now act.
