EU Extradition/Arrest Warrants
Can someone explain why it could take up to 3 months to extradite Salah Abdeslam from Brussels to France? I thought the European arrest warrant was meant to resolve these complications?

The French have asked for his extradition, but he is appealing the request. In these cases it does depend on the person being arrested, he/she can either accept the extradition or appeal against it. If they accept then they are just put in a van and sent to the other country, if they appeal, then it has to go through the courts.

According to today's news he has now volunteered to be extradited
