Well Gay Boss and I had our final supper last night, a 'bits and pieces' dinner as my Mum would call it made up of all the leftovers in the fridge and freezer. As per usual it was my food, I cooked it, we ate it, he fell asleep in the chair - snoring ha ha! This morning, yep you guessed it, the washing up is still in the sink and as a final gesture I think I shall just wash up too..................nah, only kidding!!!! It can stay there for a month for all I care cos I don't live here anymore woooooooooo hoooooooooooo!!!!!! :rofl::rofl::rofl: When I first started reading this thread you had weeks and weeks and weeks to go, and now you're on your way via swanky hotel and cocktails. :thumbsup::thumbsup: |

Hurrah!!! Have a great time at the posh hotel and hopefully you will be able to get a good nights sleep. Be careful whilst teetering around the pool on those Jimmy Choo's, you don't want to have an unexpected accident, around the pool, and have to call the paramedics.:lol:

Thank you! I'm pleased but getting into a tizz deciding which ones to go for as some are at the other end of the country a few days after I get home! Just need to do some careful planning lol!

Bless you, yes I'm all wrung out with emotion right now, so many teary goodbyes!!!! I keep looking at the photos my sister sent me online of my flat all done up and looking fab - looking forward to curling up in my cosy bed for the first time in 5 years and waking up to the sound of seagulls!!!! First morning? Runners ON, swift run down to the pier, ponytail a swishing and a BIG wooooo hooooo!!!!

Ok well its been an emotional couple of days, people have been so awesome so am really ok with everything now and moving on from those idiots who have been hounding me for so long! Funny how my colleagues have not even bothered to say goodbye to me yet the two ladies who are receptionists where I used to get my car serviced bought me a lovely card with such kind words written in it and a box of choccies!
Went back up to Looney Town today as my friend said she wanted to have a look around so up we went. Said some more goodbyes, had an amazing lunch at a waterside restaurant followed by coffee and cake at an amazingly posh resort! I'm glad I went, was a positive experience and I quietly said my goodbyes to the place, no hard feelings, see you later - do I ever want to go back? No. I'm done, closing the door and moving on..................... We sat by the pool this arvo with another Aussie friend and they were quizzing me as to the top 5 things I would/wouldn't miss. Off the top of my head these were my answers:- I will miss:- My friends Sunshine! Having my own pool Big wide roads Beautiful beaches I won't miss:- The general rudeness of people Humidity - ugh! Mozzies eating me alive Terrible drivers Not feeling like I belong Only 3 more sleeps and I will be home - I can't explain this feeling, I'm excited, scared, happy, tearful, exhausted and feel sick to my stomach all the time - I wish this queasiness would stop I'm so over throwing up everyday its just weird! Can't believe I'll get off that plane Tues and my sister will be waiting for me at the airport with a flask of tea and some Jaffa Cakes! I can't wait to get home now :thumbsup::thumbsup: |
